Kranium’s recent release Gyal Policy,sings about how to deal with an adulterous relationship, outlining the dos and don’ts side chicks must work on. Shenseea’s other recent banger titled Side Chick Song gives the female take on being the side chick. It’s a sad reality for sure. However, such is life right. The Worl’Boss Vybz Kartel has weighed in on a similar topic in his latest track Our Girl.
He outlines his womanizing tendencies basically saying women are out there for his taking, a sentiment most men feel. The track titled ‘our girl’ implies that if you think that you have a girl to yourself, you have another thing coming, as she is ours. He sings
“Member fi look bad gyal at your own risk,†cautioning his listeners in the track.
The chorus goes,
“Anuh your gyal, she a our gyal.
Stop watch di gyal like criminal”
Loosely translated as, she is not your girl, she is our girl and stop watching her like a criminal. Trust Kartel to normalize infidelity but I am not buying into the whole sharing is caring notion.
The track was produced by Drop Top records in association with Karey Records and is getting a lot of traction on the airwaves.
The tracks keep coming as Kartel recently dropped Body Language and Tony Montanna. There is no stopping Kartel and all we can do is continue nodding our heads and enjoying the music. He seems to be in a good space as he churns out hit after hit.
He also weighed in on the coronavirus pandemic on his instagram page giving an important message which could go a long way in educating people about the virus.
