We have had to wait for months for Chronixx to hit us with a new track and he is finally off the mark in 2020 with Dela Move. Good things come to those who wait patiently and Chronixx has finally delivered us a quality track. The Chronology artist showcased his full range of his skills in this reggae song, going as far as rapping on the beat.
Not known for his rapping Chronixx dropped some heavy bars in a trap reggae type of flow. Born Jamar McNaughton, Chronixx has risen to the top of the charts in the last couple of years with deep cuts including Skankin Sweet, I Can and Spanish Town Rockin. He is also known for memorable collaborations like Eternal Light with Free Nationals. Dela Move showcased his range emphasizing the hold he has on the genre.
In addition to the song itself I have to give props to the music video as well. Directed by Nabil Elderkin, the video is captivating, telling a dark and twisted story. It depicts a story told over two timelines with Chronixx as an adult and teenager. Chronixx sings topless around a bonfire with crazy visuals surrounding him. While his teenage self-can’t stop literally spitting fire. The video is subject to many interpretations making it more interesting.
With just the single album to his name the reggae world awaits his second crack. Penciled in for a late spring release the album titled Dela Splash is eagerly anticipated. If its anything like Chronology brace yourself for another masterclass as Jamar has set himself a high standard. With his lion personae Chronixx is looking to dominate the industry as he has somewhat been topped by teenage sensation Koffee who has been dominating the headlines.
Expect a string of single releases henceforth with memorable collaborations. Chronixx is here to stay and we look forward to more fire tracks.
