The Vendetta Boss is firing on all cylinders as he continues to churn out quality music. His latest track ‘Depend Pan Nobody’ is making headway on the airways having garnered 140k views on Youtube in just one day.
If his style is to have a slow start early on in the year then kick on like this, I am sure the dancehall fraternity will have no problem with that. The track talks about his independence in the game with a fitting title saying not to depend on anybody. He reiterates his relevance in the game, taking shots at his haters including both artists and fans. He assumes his status as a ‘boss’ proclaiming to be superior over the different bosses namely Vybz Kartel as the ‘Worl’Boss, Chronic Law as the ‘Law Boss’ and Squash as the ‘6IX Boss’.
Just a week before the tracks release Alkaline released another banger in ‘Elite Only’ produced by Jahvy Ambassador. The easy going track has him flow over a chilled beat. Alka reinforces his talent and you can’t help but compare him to his contemporaries.
Early on in the year people began to doubt Alka’s talent wondering why he had been so quiet while other players were on a hot streak. Popcaan was one of those artists who was in sizzling form. The Unruly Boss was producing music on a weekly basis but seems to be rather quiet now. It is clearly not sustainable to continuously produce music week in week out throughout the year. Both Popcaan and Vybz seem to be quiet now. However, just like Alka it could be the calm before the storm.
The game is clearly not a sprint but rather a marathon. This is the time for the ‘Young Boss’ to make strides. Keep it up Alka. The dancehall community is loving it.
